Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept card payments. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We accept Visa and MasterCard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling
Delivery Charges

We offer free delivery on Laminate Floor for orders over £400 (including vat) and free delivery of Hardwood Floor for orders over £600 (including vat). Delivery costs shown are for most UK mainland addresses but they may be subject to a surcharge for some Scotland, West Country and London addresses.

Cash & Collect

We also offer a 'Cash & Collect' facility where customers can collect their own order from our warehouse, which entitles them to a further discount, if over the free delivery threshold.
Delivery Schedule
While every effort will be made to ensure that all items shown are in stock, we offer no guarantee of availability and this electronic publication does not constitute an offer for sale. Goods delivered normally arrive between 8am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, in 4 to 5 working days of you placing your order. You are able to supply your preferred delivery day in the shopping basket, when you purchase your choice of products. We will then call you if we are unable to deliver on this date, and to arrange an alternate date that is convenient to you.

All flooring deliveries are made to 'Kerbside' or the nearest access point to the delivery address for the delivery vehicle. The driver may require help unloading the products. As deliveries can be made on a large lorry or van, it is assumed that the delivery address will be accessible by lorry. If there is likely to be problem, e.g. the road is subject to a vehicle weight or width limit please inform us at the time of the order. If a delivery is attempted, and is unable to be delivered due to width or weight restriction, and you have not informed us, you will be charged for re-delivery. In the event that you are not available to provide a signature on the pre-arranged date, and then you may be charged for re-delivery. If you live above the ground floor (e.g. in a flat) we are only able to deliver your goods to the ground floor entrance.

We use a Third Party delivery company, and as such the drivers are unfortunately unable to move the goods inside for you. They are only able to deliver flooring products to the Kerbside.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.
Credit Card Security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Guarantee
If you do not use a Damp Proof Membrane on ground floors, or if you do not use the correct underlay or have the floor correctly fitted, this will affect your guarantee. Colours of goods may vary slightly from that shown on our website due to limitations of browser software and monitors.

The Woodfloor Store do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' (in Internet Explorer) and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies. Data collected by this site is used to:
a. Take and fulfil customer orders.
b. Administer and enhance the site and service.
c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes.
Returns Policy
For Internet Sales Only - In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 you have the right to cancel your order, up to 7 days after you receive the goods.

If you wish to cancel a Special Order Item, you will be charged a re-stocking charge of 15% of the total purchase amount. If the order has already been delivered the delivery charge is also subject to the 15% re-stocking charge.

To Cancel your order you must inform us either in writing, by fax: 01253-896614 or by email: sales@hardwood-floor.co.uk. We will arrange with you for the goods to be collected from the delivery address and will then refund the total amount paid for the goods, less the cost incurred by us for collection (this cost is the charge made to us by the delivery company and will depend on the size of your order). All goods must be re-packed as they were received. Refunds will be made to the payment card that was initially used to make the purchase, with 30 days of cancellation. Returns will only be accepted if goods are in a re-saleable condition.

Damaged or Faulty Goods

Every effort is made to ensure that your goods are delivered in perfect condition. Please inspect your goods immediately on delivery as no claims with regard to damaged items can be made after our drive has left the delivery address, unless signed for as damaged on delivery. Goods refused on delivery that are found to be undamaged on return to us will incur the return delivery charge where applicable. In the unlikely event that some of your goods are damaged we will collect and replace the product. Any claims must be made within 7 days of receipt of goods.
